“Message to Jeremiah” is of course the oddball track on the album as it is essentially a baroque-style guitar piece with no drums, vocals or bass and minimal electric guitar. This song is about 50% music written shortly after the passing of my father in 2009 when I retreated to music to help me cope with the pain and also the desire to send a message to the Heavens to reach my father. In these passages there is alternating pain and joy as I alternate between the obvious sadness of the situation and the positive vibe of message being transmitted. Other sections of the song were written years before, but weaved perfectly into the music written after the loss of my father, and I view them as a performance of music that I written that I thought my father would particularly enjoy and thus which belonged entwined with the music written following his passing.
